So Nina turned 5 last Sunday, had to pinch myself a little. Masa was working so we spent the day at David's house (with Maia, Emma and Kiyomi) and with David being Australian an' all, I didn't once mention the rugby (didn't actually know about the rugby until I got home and then had to text him and rub it in).
We got home at 5pm, picked up the "Precure" cake, gave Nami a shout and then had a little birthday singalong.
Nami is a fixture at all our birthday parties and the poor woman is also the main photographer. It does help she never takes a bad picture.
Lighting the candles.
And a huff and a puff.....
Last one.........
From another angle.
There's no point in explaining to Aimee that she can't blow out the candles.
Aimee hasn't quite figured out the difference between blowing and spitting......but it's ok, we're used to it.
The "Suite Precure" cake with Melody on it. I often wish I could hack of Melody's head in real life.
Yummy yummy.
No one enjoys cake, or at least the eating of it as much as Aimee. She never finished it but.....
She always makes sure to get it where you least expect it.
Nina got a drawing book from Nami chan.
She's very proud of her efforts.
My "soon to be not youngest".
All high on cake.
Many thanks to Nami for the pictures, the local cake shop for the cake, Ariel laundry soap for getting the stains out of Aimees t-shirt and socks (??), David for giving me reason to gloat and baby number 3 for swollen ankles and anemia..........which is why we didn't have a do for Nina this year. She kept asking me when everyone was coming so I felt a bit guilty and then felt even more guilty when I realised we never really threw Aimee a big party (end of March coincides with school ceremonies and cherry blossoms viewing). So add that to my hormones and feelings of lumpiness and I start to feel very guilty indeed. May have a BBQ in October when things (if things) ever cools down.
PS.....aren't my girls gorgeous!!
