Masa took the girls to school today so I could go straight to the docs for a check up. Got there bright and early and was number 2, usually I'm number 20 and end up waiting about 90 minutes. Today I was in and out in 20. Pretty good I thought.
The blood pressure was ok and I wore the lightest clothes, weather permitting, to try and appease the scales. Didn't do much good but no red ticks, just a verbal caution. Feels like being in school again.
The bean is now 1000g and all body parts look normal. I asked the doc for a nice picture but the bean slept the whole way through the scan. She didn't move a muscle, very unobliging of her. The only shots we got were of the top of her head as her arm was covering the bottom half of her face. Still no thumb sucking which is a relief as Nina was sucking her thumb from 4 months onwards, 5 months before she popped out and then for three years after that until a crafty suggestion from Granny Brewer resulted in a complete stoppage and a rather FABULOUS Cinderella dress (at a rather fabulous price). Aimee hiccupped for 9 months, kicked and punched like a bag of cats but popped out with no major ticks, unless you could call "Binkie" the blanket a tick. The bean doesn't do anything so dramatic but she sleeps when you want her awake and wiggles when you want her to sleep.
Where was I, ok, no pictures of the bean today.
You can have a picture of me, my double chin and a sock instead.
The bean is under the big bump.
The sock is Nina's after she stuck her foot in a fountain.
The double chin is all mine.

Enjoy, that's the last picture you going to see of me for about a year if I can help it.
The next time you see me the bump and the chin will be gone.
Well, maybe not the chin but definitely the bump.
